Released in August 1970 as Stevie Wonder began to strive for greater creative control of his Motown output, Signed, Sealed and Delivered was the first album in which he received a producer credit. The all-time classic title cut earned Wonder his first Grammy nomination and spent an impressive six weeks atop the R&B chart, becoming his sixth soul No. 1 and first since "Shoo-Be-Doo-Be-Doo-Da-Day" two years earlier. Additional hits from the album came in the form of "Heaven Help Us All," "Never Had a Dream Come True" and an unmistakable cover of The Beatles' "We Can Work It Out."
