Ten Bands One Cause Pink Vinyl Reissue Benefiting Gilda's Club NYC!
Ten Bands re-issue their albums on pink vinyl, all for one cause. This is the fifth year for the initiative that has raised over $200,000 for Gilda's Club NYC, an organization that provides community support for both those diagnosed with cancer and their caretakers. It is named after comedian Gilda Radner, who passed away from cancer at the age of 43 in 1989. 2018's pink vinyl reissues come from Silversun Pickups, Modest Mouse, Local Natives, Black Moth Super Rainbow, EL-P, Tyler Childers, Soccer Mommy, Daryl Hall & John Oates, The All-American Rejects and The Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack.
Citing such influences as AC/DC, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi, Tyson Ritter (vocals/bass) and Nick Wheeler (guitar/programming) formed The All-American Rejects in 2000, while both members were still in high school. Originally released on Doghouse Records in 2002 and later reissued by DreamWorks, their platinum certified self-titled debut scored hits with the effervescent singles "Swing, Swing," "The Last Song" and "Time Stands Still," which attracted attention from Interscope Records and ultimately landed the All-American Rejects on the label's roster.
