100% Analog Mastering By Kevin Gray At CoHEARent Audio
While not the immediate classic of their debut, The Gilded Palace of Sin, 1970's Burrito Deluxe is still a very strong record, and the last Flying Burrito Bros effort to feature the songwriting and vocal talents of country-rock torchbearer Gram Parsons. At this point Parsons had befriended Keith and Mick and Burrito Deluxe features the very first recorded version of their classic "Wild Horses" which would not make its way onto the Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers LP for another year. Along with great Parsons originals like "Cody, Cody," "Older Guys" and "Lazy Days," the 11-track set also includes stellar versions of Dylan's "If You Gotta Go" and the traditional "Farther Along."
Intervention Records' ultra-quiet, audiophile quality 180g vinyl reissue of Burrito Deluxe was 100% analog mastered by Kevin Gray at CoHEARent Audio from the best source available - a phenomenal sounding 1/2" safety copy of the original stereo master tape. The RTI pressing preserves all the top-end energy and "snap" of the original A&M LP, while the bass foundation is fully restored to make this reissue the definitive listening experience for this classic LP! The original LP art has also been restored by IR's Tom Vadakan and the old-style, "tip-on, brown-in" LP jacket is printed by Stoughton and features super deluxe red foil accents on the front cover.
