The Gaylads' 1970 Album Fire and Rain on LP. Newly Restored & Remastered. Reissued for the First Time on Vinyl.
One of Jamaica’s most influential vocal groups, revered and imitated by the young Wailers and the Heptones.
On Fire and Rain, the talented Harris ‘BB’ Seaton penned most of the trio’s compositions, including the sizzling ‘There’s A Fire’, a huge hit that cemented the group’s partnership with Leslie Kong and Beverley’s Records.
There were covers cut as well, such as the stunning version of the perennial ‘It’s All In The Game’ and the popular smash James Taylor hit ‘Fire & Rain’. That latter number would title the Gaylads’ third album, which bundled up eleven of their 45s released on Beverley’s Records.
Fire and Rain brings together much of The Gaylads’ best from the reggae age.
