The Jackson 5's combination of extraordinary musical talent and infectious dance moves earned the family the status of pop royalty in the music world and provided the launching pad for Michael's unprecedented solo career. In 1976, the group left Motown for Epic Records and changed their name to The Jacksons. They released five albums between 1976 and 1981 starting with this eponymous venture. Although Jermaine remained with Motown he was replaced here by the youngest Jackson brother Randy. Helmed by famed Philadelphia songwriting/production duo Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff, the gold certified set features the hits "Enjoy Yourself" and "Show You the Way to Go" plus debut original material like "Blues Away" and "Style of Life."
