The Neville Brothers Yellow Moon on LP

Holding a reputation as first-rank showmen and shamans, The Neville Brothers – Art, Charles, Aaron and Cyril have a trademark of blues-soaked deep funk grooves. Initially, each of the brothers had his own individual music career until the death of their beloved mother Amelia brought them together, forming The Neville Brothers in 1977.

On their excellent 1989 A&M debut Yellow Moon Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2) wonderfully augments the Neville's pristine vocals and warm arrangements with his signature swampy production, a match made in pop/rock music heaven. Includes charming takes on the two protest-era Bob Dylan songs "With God on Our Side" and "The Ballad of Hollis Brown" and Sam Cooke evergreen "A Change is Gonna Come" plus the outstanding originals "Yellow Moon" and "Sister Rosa."

Continuing with its vinyl reissue initiative, UMe will be reissuing this classic back on standard weight black vinyl for the first time in over 20 years.
