Gatefold 180g Vinyl 2LP Reissue Newly Remastered in 2020 from the Original Masters by Andy Pearce!
Regarded as one of the finest live albums of all time, Strangers in The Night captured UFO at the peak of their powers as a band. The original 1979 double album was compiled from recordings made at six shows in October 1978 on an American tour, which can only be described as a live greatest hits of the band's repertoire.
Helmed by powerful lead vocalist Phil Mogg and a bevy of superstar players like Michael Schenker on guitar (Scorpions), keyboardist Paul Raymond (Savoy Brown), drummer Andy Parker and Pete Way on bass (Fastaway, Waysted), the quintet roars through UFO standards like the energy fused "Let It Roll," the hard rock drenched "Doctor Doctor" and of course the anthemic "Lights Out." The masterful live collection contains further brilliant renditions of UFO power classics like "Rock Bottom," "Only You Can Rock Me" and the melodic balladry of the epic "Love To Love." And no UFO concert is complete without takes on such signature songs as "Too Hot To Handle" and the encore driven "Shoot Shoot."
This newly remastered version of the album was culled from the original masters by Andy Pearce and is presented in a gatefold sleeve on 180g vinyl 2LP.
